Notes

'Elizabeth Black' peony (Paeonia 'Elizabeth Black') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large double pink flowers reach 8 inches wide and have twisted, frilled petals, and thick stems usually hold them up without support. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Nodding onion, Sedge, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
