'Elizabeth Price' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Elizabeth Price') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The orchid pink rose type flowers open in early to mid summer. Outer petals are broad and deeply ruffled with silver edges, and the folded center gives a frilly look. Stems are stiff and the foliage is good.
Pairs well with Wild ginger, Garlic chives, Queen of Night tulip, and Scentara Double Blue lilac.
