Notes

'Elodi' clematis (Clematis 'Elodi') is a compact vine for containers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The deep pink flowers have darker stripes and dark red anthers, and the stems reach just 1 to 2 feet long. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Mogens Nyegaard Olesen bred it.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Garden phlox, and Little bluestem.
