Notes

'Elsie Pickett' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Elsie Pickett') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, deep pink flowers are fragrant and open in mid to late spring and early summer. Plants reach about 33 inches tall. Robert William Tischler bred it in 1967.

Pairs well with Knapweed, Royal fern, Picture tulip, and Love-in-a-mist.
