Notes

'Elsinore' rose (Rosa 'Elsinore') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its fragrant, medium red blooms open in late spring, again in early to late summer, and once more in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Lindquist bred it in 1958.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Niobe clematis, and Little bluestem.
