Notes

'Emily-Louise' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Emily-Louise') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers are lavender with pink shading and dark purple flares, and they open in early summer. Strong stems hold the blooms above the foliage. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 1996.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Blue grama, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
