Notes
'Emperors Gold' peony (Paeonia 'Emperors Gold') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its light yellow flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Joshua Scholten bred it in 2022.
Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Dancing Queen hosta, and Charles Joly lilac.
