Notes

'Encore' eulalia (Miscanthus sinensis 'Encore') is a grass for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms early and may bloom again in fall, though the second flush is more likely in warmer climates. The green leaves have a white midrib and turn tan in winter. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Joe-pyeweed, Spotted beebalm, and Ornamental onion.
