Notes
'Envoy' peony (Paeonia 'Envoy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single red flowers with white flares open on upright stems, and butterflies and bees visit them. The narrow, indented leaflets form a lush bush. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Prairie dropseed, and Christmas fern.
