Notes

'Equator' aloe (Aloe vera 'Equator') is a succulent for specimen use, rock gardens, and accents. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It sits low on the menu for deer. Its erect form grows at a moderate pace, and it tolerates drought and salt. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the spring blooms.

Pairs well with Spanish dagger, White velvet, and Dark Star ceanothus.
