Notes

'Evangeline' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Evangeline') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double flowers are rose-pink with crimson edges on the center petals. They bloom in late spring and have a rose-like fragrance. Strong stems hold the blooms upright.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Spanish bluebell, and Foxtail barley.
