Notes

'Excalibur' plum (Prunus domestica 'Excalibur') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. Bees and butterflies visit the spring blooms. The plums are grown for fresh eating and cooking, and they are larger than those of Victoria. Plant a second plum nearby, since it is not self-fertile.

Pairs well with Rowan, Black chokeberry, Little bluestem, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
