Notes
'Excelsior Group' foxglove (Digitalis purpurea 'Excelsior Group') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Tall spires bloom in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Lupine, Purple Sensation ornamental onion, Ladybird poppy, and Munstead lavender.
