Notes

'Exeter Cross' apple (Malus domestica 'Exeter Cross') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its dense, moderate-growing form blooms from early to late spring, and the flowers attract bees. G.T. Spinks of Long Ashton Research Station bred it in 1954.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, and Prairie dropseed.
