Notes

'Eye of Newt' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Eye of Newt') is a perennial for borders and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. The fragrant yellow blooms have purple-black eye zones and a green throat, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Clustered bellflower, Brown-eyed Susan, and Western sword fern.
