Notes
'Fair Elaine' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Fair Elaine') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double white blooms shade to a golden glow in the center. Robert W. Auten bred it from Primevère × Lady Alexandra Duff.
Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Black Parrot tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
