Notes

'Fairest Cape' rose (Rosa 'Fairest Cape') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant orange blooms open in late spring, again in summer, and again in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers, and the glossy, dark green leaves stay dense. Tim Hermann Kordes bred it in 2003.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Switchgrass, Jackmanii clematis, and Swamp milkweed.
