Notes

'Fairy Snow' balloon flower (Platycodon grandiflorus 'Fairy Snow') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white flowers have blue veins inside and open in spring and again in summer. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Its small clump suits the front of a bed.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Black Hero tulip, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Bridal Bouquet peony.
