Notes

'Faithful Ruby' peony (Paeonia 'Faithful Ruby') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, specimen plantings, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Early double flowers are a dark, shiny red-purple and face upward. Plants reach about 39 inches tall and stand upright, so they need no support.

Pairs well with Guacamole hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Nodding onion.
