Notes

Fan-leaved columbine (Aquilegia flabellata) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Blue and white flowers open in spring and again in summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Sensitive fern, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Gardenia peony.
