Notes

'Fantasy' spotted beebalm (Monarda punctata 'Fantasy') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It forms a fragrant clump 24 to 30 inches tall and attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its blooms open in early to late summer, so plant it where pollinators can find it.

Pairs well with Prairie Sun rudbeckia, Big bluestem, and Joe Pye weed.
