Notes

'Fantine' peony (Paeonia 'Fantine') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, double white anemone-type blooms have blood-red stigmas, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Julian L. Janus bred it.

Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Krossa Regal hosta, and Little bluestem.
