'Father’s Memory' peony (Paeonia 'Father’s Memory') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Golden yellow double flowers with a lemony touch face upward and smell a little like Paeonia lutea. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Nodding onion, and Moonshine yarrow.
