Notes

'Frizelliae' subarctic ladyfern (Athyrium filix-femina 'Frizelliae') is a fern for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide, and it does well in acid to neutral soil.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Columbine, and Nelly Moser clematis.
