Notes

'Fertility' pear (Pyrus communis 'Fertility') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring and draws butterflies, bees, and birds. Rivers of Sawbridgeworth bred it in 1875 as a seedling of 'Beurre Goubault'.

Pairs well with Plum, Cortland apple, Creeping thyme, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
