'Festival' garden phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Festival') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound and grows at a moderate rate. The fragrant flowers open from early to late summer. They draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds.
