Notes

'Feu d’Artifice' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Feu d’Artifice') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The red, cupped flowers bloom in late spring and have no pollen or seeds. Each strong stem carries 3 to 4 buds, so you get many flowers for cutting. The large foliage looks lush all season.

Pairs well with Showy milkweed, Black Hero tulip, and Sensitive fern.
