Notes

'Fiery Image' peony (Paeonia 'Fiery Image') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant rose-pink blooms with cream shading open in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Lungwort, and Big bluestem.
