Notes

'First Gold' rose (Rosa 'First Gold') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows upright to about 4 or 5 feet tall with few or no thorns. Deep yellow blooms open in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. W. Kordes & Sons bred it.

Pairs well with Society garlic, Anemone, and Italian cypress.
