Notes

'Flaming Delight' peony (Paeonia 'Flaming Delight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deep yellow, semi-double flowers carry large dark red flares and a mild, pleasing scent, and blooms last up to 2 ½ weeks. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Donald Robert Smith bred it.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, PowWow White coneflower, Switchgrass, and Queen of Night tulip.
