Notes

'Flasher' peony (Paeonia 'Flasher') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays short and bears single red flowers that are fragrant, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms. William Henry Krekler bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Stargazer lily.
