Notes

Fleischer's crocus (Crocus fleischeri) is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil of most types. Narrow white petals open flat like a star in the early spring garden. Bright red-orange pistils and orange stamens add a bold center, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Elfin mother of thyme, Globemaster allium, and Autumn moor grass.
