Notes
Flowering flax (Linum grandiflorum) is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall with an erect habit and pink to red blooms. Bees visit the flowers, and the plant tolerates drought once it settles in.
Pairs well with Ivory Princess calendula, Supertunia Bordeaux petunia, and Red fescue.
Native range
Middle East, Central Asia, Kirgizstan, and Tadzhikistan.
