Notes
'Appar' perennial flax (Linum perenne 'Appar') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, loamy or clay soil. It bears blue flowers in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. The plant is drought tolerant and creeps to a spread of 24 to 30 inches, so give it room.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Eastern columbine, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Nodding onion.
