Notes

'For Heaven Sake' peony (Paeonia 'For Heaven Sake') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, deep rose red cups have a thick yellow puff of stamens and look like slightly opened tulips. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Empress Wu hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
