Notes

Fox red curly sedge (Carex buchananii) is a grass for borders, containers, rock gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. The arching foliage mixes brown, copper, gold, and red tones and stays evergreen. It tolerates drought and draws butterflies and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Inkberry, and Purple Coneflower coneflower.
