Notes

'Freedom' tulip (Tulipa 'Freedom') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers open in early to late spring on stems about 16 inches tall. Each bloom is red outside and glowing blood red inside, with a star-shaped violet base edged in white. C.L. Duyndam bred it.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Alexander Fleming peony, and Hansa rose.
