Garden uses

Notes

'Freeman' tulip (Tulipa 'Freeman') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The double late peony blooms open in early to late spring. They mix copper, salmon pink, and light orange with green highlights on stems up to 12 inches high. Vertuco B.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Nodding onion, Black Beauty peony, and Western sword fern.
