Notes

'Fresh Look Orange' cockscomb (Celosia argentea 'Fresh Look Orange') is an annual for borders, containers, and cut flowers. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows fast to 12 to 24 inches tall and draws butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it an easy plant for busy gardeners.

Pairs well with Ageratum, African marigold, and Black-eyed Susan.
