Notes

'Fringed Apeldoorn' tulip (Tulipa 'Fringed Apeldoorn') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows about 22 inches tall and blooms red from early to late spring. The tepals have a crystalline fringe, and the flowers are cherry red edged in signal red with a black base inside.

Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Fanal astilbe, and Black Beauty peony.
