Notes
Fritillary (Fritillaria sewerzowii) is a bulb for containers and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Burgundy bells hang outward from 12 inch stems in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The grey-green foliage adds soft color, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Grape hyacinth, Bowl of Cream peony, and September Charm anemone.
