Notes
'From the Deep' peony (Paeonia 'From the Deep') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Large single bluish lavender flowers open in early to late spring, and the narrow petals curl and twist. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Nate Bremer bred it, and the stems reach about 4 feet tall.
Pairs well with Green Spice coral bells, Foxglove, and The President clematis.
