Notes

'Fruit Bowl' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Fruit Bowl') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1979. It has Japanese type flowers with dark pink petals and lemon stamenodes. The blooms sit well above good, clean foliage on stems about 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, and Garlic chives.
