Notes

'Galathée' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Galathée') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double blooms are flesh-white with a pink center and have a strong fragrance. They open late, develop slowly, and sometimes fail to open well. Victor Lemoine bred it.

Pairs well with Immortality iris, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
