Notes

'Gallienus' peony (Paeonia 'Gallienus') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant yellow semi-double flowers measure about 6 inches wide and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The upright stems are strong, so you do not need to stake them.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Pink Impression tulip.
