Notes

'Garden of Elysium' peony (Paeonia 'Garden of Elysium') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its early double yellow flowers face upward and have frilled guard petals, and bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows upright, so it needs no support.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and Switchgrass.
