Notes

'Garden Prairie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Garden Prairie') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type blooms are cerise with a cream center and reach 5 inches wide. Strong stems hold the blooms upright on plants about 30 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it.

Pairs well with Aromatic aster, Matrona october daphne, Pink Impression tulip, and Royal fern.
