Notes

'Garden Sentinel' peony (Paeonia 'Garden Sentinel') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, full double flowers are brilliant pink and fragrant, and they open slowly and last two weeks. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Mrs. Mary E.G. Freeborn bred it.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Eastern columbine, and Stargazer lily.
