Notes

'Garnet Globes' aloalo (Hibiscus 'Garnet Globes') is a perennial for containers, borders, and hummingbird gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Its deep garnet red flowers have dark eyes and reach up to seven inches across. It is late to emerge in spring, then grows fast and blooms in late summer and fall.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Flamingo Feather celosia.
