Notes

'Gatsby Gal' oakleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia 'Gatsby Gal') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, low hedges, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The white flowers age to pink and attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Thick green leaves turn wine-red in fall and stay on the plant long into winter.

Pairs well with Witch hazel, Amsonia, Autumn fern, and Switchgrass.
